Doonies Farm
Doonies Rare Breeds Farm is one of only two Rare Breeds Survival Trust Approved conservation farm parks in Scotland. We cover 134 acres on the southern side of Aberdeen and specialise in breeding rare and endangered breeds of British Livestock that are at risk of extinction.
Services
- Doonies farm has existed for more than 400 years and can first be traced back to an old map of Aberdeen published in 1661.
- Doonies is open from April until October to visitors who can feed, touch and learn about rare British livestock.
- Doonies is also a fully-fledged working farm with only 4 members of staff – all family members. Along with breeding rare and endangered British livestock, we also have one of the largest herds of English Longhorn cattle in Scotland.
